About the event
Hormone Disruptors and Women’s Health
According to a study by Mount Sinai researchers, exposure to chemicals commonly found in drinking water and everyday household products may result in reduced fertility in women by as much as 40%! At Divines.nyc, we believe it is crucial to raise awareness about these endocrine disruptors in our everyday products. We are very proud and honored to invite two incredible women, experts in this field, for a fireside chat on March 6th: Dr Aviva Romm, MD, a women’s health physician and NYT best-selling author on women's hormonal health, and Alden Wicker, an award-winning journalist who has written a book about harmful chemicals in clothes (To Dye For). This event is meant to equip everyone with the knowledge needed to take specific actions, such as identifying and avoiding harmful chemicals in everyday products, and to actively participate in advocating for women's health protection.
Run of Show:
6.30pm: Doors opening and check-in. Both books of Dr Aviva and Alden will be available to purchase pre and post panel.
7-8pm: Fireside chat between dr Aviva, Alden Wicker and Dr Micaela Martinez, including a Q&A
8-9.30pm: Book signing with Alden Wicker's and Dr Aviva's latest books: "To Dye For" and "Hormonal Intelligence".
We'll be serving complimentary hormone-friendly and healthy food (by Maison Jar) + drinks post-panel, and you'll get a chance to connect with other people actively advocating for women's health protection.
